The Maldives Islands

The Maldives Islands

Chaimae Hounain

I have been to the beach several times in my life, but not all beaches are the same. When I visited the Maldive Islands, last summer, I realized just how different beaches can be.

I traveled on a Saturday morning accompanied by Hamza. We took the plane from Amsterdam airport to Abu Dhabi. We spent two days there, and from there we took the plane to the Maldive Islands. We arrived very tired after five hours of flight. We went directly to our accommodation One & Only Reethi Rah. We left our bags, put on our bathing suits and went swimming directly. Something amazing in the islands of the Maldives are its crystal clear water.

I had no desire to leave the water. Then we returned to our room, showered and went to dinner and we went up very late from the beach. The food there was tasty. One of my favorite dishes was Rihaakuru a tuna pasta to eat with bread, and also the garudia, a fish soup with rice, pepper and lemon, these are some of the traditional dishes there.

I must admit it was the best trip of my life with the most important person in my life. It is and will be the best experience.

New Year Celebration in Sweden

All people celebrate the New Year's Eve of their way, and countries have special places. Like in Sydney, Australia, at the Opera of Sydney or Dubai at Burj of Khalifa. I'm going to explain about the Sweddish way and show you the best places where to celebrate it.
In Sweden, the last and new night of the year is not for a night party's or chimes like Spain. In Sweden you must have a great dinner in that night and there are some ways and places to do it.
You can eat in Skansen, a symbolic museum located in Stockholm. You have dinner with your family outdoor with music and fireworks. Fireworks are players because they are in all places. If you like the romantic way, you should have dinner in a cruise boat, with a luxury dinner or champagne or if you love music you must listen to the cathedral concerts.

Sweden

Last year, my friend and I went to Sweden to visit several cities. But specially we went to Stockholm for see an important music festival. The flight was from Tangier airport to Melbourne airport. In that festival we saw some important musicians like Katy Perry, Avicci and others.

After the festival we decided to do an tour of the country for explore the country and to have an idea about its culture, traditions and food. It's a very clean country, it has different landscape, important museums and places and Swedish people are sociable. In my opinion, It's one of the best countries in the world.

Tokyo - Zaid Bousdar

Tokyo is well known of its incredible culture and food but in this presentation I will only talk about its most visited place. In a near future if I have the chance I will talk more about its culture.

Writing

Last month I went on a school trip to Tokyo with my classmates. I was impressed because I had always wanted to go there. We arrived at night and we checked in the hotel.

The next day we visited the Imperial Palace and the Ueno Park. During the evening we had dinner on a restaurant on th Omotesando Hills District and then we returned to the hotel.

I never imagined that the next day was going to be the worst of all. Qfter having breakfast, we decided to visit Mount Fuji. We took the train to Subashiri. When we arrived, our Tour Guide, Hideyoshi told us about the past of the mountain. Then we entered the forest. We split up. Our group decided to go back to the the station but we never reached it. Then we realized that we were lost.

We stayed on the forst during the rest of the day. We also slept there. I woke up in the morning. We were hhungry. We decided to try it again. We failed again. That day we couldn't sleep. We felt that something was stalking us so we decided to move to another place. In our way I hurt my arm because I had slipped.

The next day the police found us on the Wood and rescued us. I was taken to the hospital. Later, we returned to the hotel. As Hideyoshi told us, wer were lucky to return to the city again because a lot of tourists who had been lost commited suicide.

The trip ended happily. We returned to Tetuan and our lives started its routine again but I will never forget Hideyoshi's words.

Shougatsu (New Year)

Shougatsu (New Year) is the most important celebration in the japanese culture. Shougatsu is celebrated during the fourth first January days.
Shougatsu was a national celebration since a lot of time. At first it coincided with the chinese calendar but since 1873 the date of the celebration was adjusted to the gregorian calendar. During the days before the celebration, people do a thorough cleaning of the house to purify it and prepare it for the upcoming year. People usually prepare typical food. It is also typical to decorate the house with traditional furniture.
For years japanese people celebrate this important celebration. It is the costum to have dinner with the family. Shougatsu is for japanese as important as Christmas is for christians.
